SITUATION PRACTICE · PRESENTATION
Open a Presentation with Purpose
Use your first minute to orient the audience, earn attention, and make the value of listening clear.
1. Name the audience need
Start from the problem or decision they care about.
2. Promise a useful result
Tell listeners what they will understand or be able to decide.
3. Preview the route
Give a short structure, then pause before the first section.
Starter structure: “Today I’ll show you why this change matters, what the data tells us, and the decision we need to make.”
Transfer without the script
Hide your prepared text. Answer the same task again in your own words. Focus on listener understanding, one clear structure, and a calm finish.
